Daily Tracker
Similar to humans with diabetes, it is important to record daily blood glucose levels, food consumption, insulin dosage, exercise, injection sites, medications, and any other information that could affect your doggo’s health. Even when your doggo’s diabetes is controlled, treatment and monitoring must stay consistent to minimize the probability of complications. Having a place to recording these daily details makes it easy to monitor your doggo’s health over time.
Our Story
My uncle once told me that you get one dog in your life that is just perfect. That gets you. Understands you. And you understand them. You connect on a level that will never be achieved in your life again. Harley is that dog for me.
Harley Rebel wandered into my life in 2014. At eight weeks old, he was dumped near my house in Missouri. I brought him in, fed him, gave him water, and let him get some much needed rest. From that night on, he had my heart. The reality is he picked me, and I will never be more thankful for anything in this life.
As amazing as Harley is, he's had his share of health problems. Harley was diagnosed with diabetes in May of 2020 after a life threatening bout of pancreatitis. Like any diabetic doggo parent, I was terrified. After a long learning curve and much research, I decided testing his BG before every meal and performing curves regularly was the path we were going to take. He is the love of my life, and deserves the best quality of life I can give him. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options as far as daily BG tracking books for doggos. So, we decided to make our own. The Diabetic Doggo was born.
